Mookini uses 100% rayon and 100% cotton in their sarongs and kaftans and can be washed and worn for many years, the material is robust and only gets softer as you wash it. In the midi-kaftan range, some of the kaftans are made of chiffon and benefit from a cool delicate wash or hand wash.
It is advisable to wash your sarong in a cool temperature and are best ironed whilst a little damp with a steam iron – although they drip-dry very well.
The dyes that we use are colourfast although it is advisable to wash your Mookini Sarong separately for the first wash, there may be a dye ‘bleed’, this should not affect any other clothes but do take the precaution!
Do not use hot temperatures as this may cause the sarong colours to alter and the material to shrink. Do not use strong detergents or bleaching agents.
